| The saying "In Dominica it's always Sunday" is commonly recited in the eastern Caribbean and never a truer word has been spoken. However, for all its laid back atmosphere (sometimes frustratingly so) it's a lush, tropical island with much to offer the eco-tourist. With an unforgiving agricultural geography, the island is mostly forest-covered and mountainous with a wet lushness that will lift your spirits, to be remembered on a cold winter night.
