| I went to Israel during a the lull between the Intifadas and was pleasantly surprised at the austere beauty that I found there. While Tel Aviv is a modern bustling city with little to see (though plenty to do), Jerusalem is a hive of activity, a polyglot of people and history, smells and sights squeezed into a very small space.
