| Laos surprised me in ways that countries seldom do. Perhaps, I should be more specific since I didn't travel very widely in the country. Luang Prabang definitely surprised me. However, since it isn't that large a country, its probably safe to extend some impressions: the Lao people are gentle and polite, the country hot and humid, and the cuisine pretty fantastic. Definitely a place I want to go back to.
