| Swimming with Dolphins Set on a peninsula on the northeast coast of the South Island, this place has spectacular views to the west of the Southern Alps. The water is cold but you can suit up (in wet suits), dive in and swim with the pods of dolphins that hang out around offshore. As always, it's a hit-and-miss affair but just getting into the 60 degree water is an experience in itself.%0D
