| Hot, arid and very beautiful, Lake Natron is the only breeding site in the past 45 years for the East African Lesser Flamingo which gather here in their millions during the breeding season. In the shadow of Ol Doinyo Lengai ("Mountain of the Gods"), the magic hour truly lives up to its name, turning the lake silver and the volcanic sand and mud jet black.
