| The second largest city in the country, Chiang Mia serves, for tourists, as a lauching point for the elephant treks into the northern hills. Actually the "Elephant Trek" part of the trip usually consists of a couple of hours going down a river on a pachyderm. Though this may sound like you're getting gipped, in fact, after about 30 minutes, you'll be glad it's not longer. Not exactly the most comfortable ride in the world.%0D
